Today, after one year being grounded, a Bulgarian MiG-21 is again in the sky!
MiG-21UM (r.n.28) conducted the first test flight, which is a part of the procedures for extending the service life of the aircraft. The flight lasted 35 minutes and the fighter was flown by the Commander of the Bulgarian Air Force Major-General Popov and major Dzurov.
More test flights are to be followed during the current week with MiG-21BISs. If the tests flights are successful first regular training flights with MiG-21s are to start in March 2014.

Today Graf Ignatievo AFB flew also with MiG-29s.
