Bulgarian Navy and Varna Municipality organized a conference "Bulgarian Woman and the Sea" dedicated to 8th March - International Women's Day.

Rear Admiral Mitko Petev, Commander Bulgarian Navy and Mr. Ivan Portnich, Mayor of Varna Municipality delivered an address of welcome to the participants
in the conference.

Capt. 3rd rank Dimana Slavova presented to the participants in the conference the activities and achievement of the non-government organization "Union of the Women in Military Service".

At 16:00 o'clock in the afternoon the traditional meeting between the Bulgarian Navy leadership and the women in service with the Navy took place in Navy HQs.
