Sofia. Bulgarian government allowed Drazki Frigate’s participation in NATO United Protector operation off Libya cost, governmental press office reported. The operation is in support of the arms embargo enforcement against Libya. There would be 160-member crew onboard including a group for special operations of 12 military men.
The governmental decision provides for sending the frigate to the zone of the operation as early as April 15, 2011 for three months.
The frigate will carry out tasks concerning security, convoying, checks, redirection and/or detention of vessels in compliance with resolutions 1970 and 1973 since 2011 of the UN Security Council.
